The Renault Duster scored zero in Safer Cars for India ratings. At the company’s request a driver’s airbag version was the tested and scored three stars. This contrasted with a four star rating achieved by the same model when tested by Latin NCAP. The difference it emerged was because Renault had equipped the Indian Duster with a smaller air bag.
